A funeral service was held Saturday, May 22, at the United Methodist Church in Van Meter for Mildred A. Hubbard, who died May 18 at the age of 74.

Born November 2, 1907 in Peru, she was the daughter of Jed and Viola Cox Osborn.

On Feb. 22, 1927 she married Warren Hubbard. She was a resident of the Booneville and Van Meter communities for 39 years and was employed by Look Magazine in Des Moines from 1947 until her retirement in 1970. She was a member of the Van Meter United Methodist Church and Van Meter Priscilla Club.

Survivors include her husband, Warren; three sons, Oris of Van Meter, Lee of Peoria, Ill. and Pat of Des Moines; a step-mother, Mrs. Violet Osborn of Winterset; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Rev. Dennis Nicholson and Rev. R. E. Johnson officiated at the funeral service. Burial was in Booneville Cemetery.
