Cecelia Violette Rundall, a pioneer resident of the Truro neighborhood died at her home, Saturday, February 15th, at the age of 83 years. While her last illness was of short duration, her health had been failing for the last year.

The deceased was a daughter of Robert and Minerva Jane Rundall and was born June 10, 1846, near Farmers Mill, New York. In April, 1871, she and her father’s family came to Iowa and settled on a farm near Truro, and the farm has ever since remained the Rundall homestead. She was married to William Henry Rundall on October 21, 1871, and they were the parents of one daughter, Ida. Upon the death of her parents, she with her brother, F. P., and family, continued to live in the old home, and it was there that she died last Saturday.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Ida Cole, of Osceola, four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a brother, F. P. Rundall; three nieces, a nephew, and a host of friends.

The Rev. F. G. Barnes, of St. Charles, and Rev. Clarence Moore, of Truro, conducted the funeral services at the Truro Methodist Episcopal church, Monday, February 17th, at 2 o’clock, and burial was made in the Young cemetery.
