Page 11Funeral services were held Monday at Collins Funeral Home for Harold Homer Ellson of St. Charles, who died Thursday, March 11, 1982, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. He was 67 years old.
Born Sept. 2, 1914, in Cedar Rapids, he was the son of Lou and Rachel Halterman Ellson.
He was a veteran of World War II ----------------.
On Nov. 10, 1950, Mr. Ellson married Leota Miller in Omaha, Neb.
A painter by occupation, Mr. Ellson retired in 1978.
Preceding him in death were his parents; three brothers; one sister; and a son, LeRoy.
Surviving are his wife, Leota; three sons, Dewey Morgan of Des Moines, Leonard Morgan of Ankeny and John Ellson of Phoeniz; a daughter, Beverly Jones of Wisconsin; two sisters, Alice Ballou of Missouri and Bertha Drotts of Louisiana; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Officiating at the funeral was Pastor Earl Swigart. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Des Moines.
