HERBERT MOORMAN, Winterset

Herbert A. Moorman, 62, of Winterset, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Burial service was held on Wednesday, April 29, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.

Herbert, the son of Archie and Imogene Moorman was born May 31, 1952, in Waterloo, Iowa. He grew up in rural St. Charles, and graduated Interstate 35 schools. After graduating, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Herbert was the father of two children, David Moorman and Jennifer Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Archie Moorman; and three cousins.

He is survived by his wife, Velda; two children, three step children, 12 grandchildren; his mother, Imogene Moorman; and his sister, Joyce (Jeff) Scheffers.
