A funeral service was held Monday March 22, at Watts-Lindsay Funeral Home in Lorimor for Forrest Paxson, who died March 18 at Winterset Care Center North. He was 85 years old.

Born April 8, 1896, in Burr Oak, Kansas, he was the son of Edward and Amy Allen Paxson.

On March 14, 1917 he married Alma Hett in Burr Oak. Mrs. Paxson died in 1976.

The couple lived in Nebraska many years and moved to Union county in 1943, operating a hatchery in Lorimor.

Preceding Mr. Paxson in death were his parents; wife; and a brother and sister.

Survivors include a son, Max, of Kent, Ia.; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Rev. Mark Hagy officiated at the funeral. Burial was in Lorimor Cemetery.
