May 2, 1920 - Apr. 21, 2015

Ruth Hart, 94, of Winterset, Iowa, died Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 25, at New Bridge Church in Winterset with Rev. Dr. John Shaull and Pastor Terry Kerr officiating. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery.

Ruth was born on May 2, 1920, at Madison County, Iowa to Charles and Myrtle (Ford) Kuntz. Ruth was married on February 24, 1940 at Worthington Church in Madison County, Iowa, to Dean Hart. She started her career as a schoolteacher and later became a homemaker. She had been a lifetime resident of Madison County, was a 1936 graduate of Winterset High School, had been a member of New Bridge Church and was a former member of Oak Grove Community Church.

Ruth is survived by her son, Brian (Brenda) Hart of Winterset; brother, Fred (Joann) Kuntz of Des Moines; grandchildren, Ron (Brandi) Hart, Kelly (Nate) Malloy, Tina Hart, Megan Hart, David Lee Braman-Stevens, and Elizabeth (Rob) Weber; great grandchildren, Tiffany Hart, Austin Huffman, Dillon Hart, Jordan Hart, Katelyn Hart, Shaelynn Malloy, Alexander Malloy, Shelby Weber, and Sheila Weber; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Myrtle (Ford) Kuntz; husband, Dean Hart; son, Bruce Hart; brother, Dean Kuntz; and sisters, Helen Howell and Genevieve Hart.

No visitation is scheduled. Memorials given to the family will be directed to New Bridge Church or Oak Grove Community Church.
