Connie Ringenberg, Ames

Connie Becker Ringgenberg, 77, of Ames, Iowa passed away on April 18, 2015.Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, April 22nd at Adams Funeral Home, 502 Douglas Ave., Ames. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30am, Thursday, April 23rd, at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Ames; burial will be in the Lincoln Township Cemetery in Alleman.

Connie was born on April 14, 1938 to James Sr. and Mabel (Weber) Becker in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was raised in Norwalk and graduated from Norwalk High School in May 1955. She graduated from AIB business school and worked in the Des Moines area before meeting her husband, Dr. Jack Ringgenberg to whom she married in Cumming on October 6, 1962.

Connie and Jack lived in Storm Lake, Eldora, Toledo, Belle Plaine and West Des Moines before deciding to reside on the farm south of Winterset in 1974. Connie spent her time caring for her family, attending her children's school activities and helping out on the family farm.For the past 20 years, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, familyand friends in Harlingen, Texas, Branson,Missouri and Ames, Iowa.

Connie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jack Ringgenberg of Ames,her six children, John Ringgenberg of Fort Lupton, Colorado, Doug Ringgenberg of Fort Lupton, Colorado, Anne (David) Byrne of Ames, Brian (Missy) Ringgenberg of Clive, Sara (Sean) McWilliams of Berlin, New Jersey and Mary (Denny) Thompson of Ames; three brothers, Jim Jr.(Carla) Becker of Norwalk, Tom (Bev) Becker of Cummingand, Steve (Jenny) Becker of Omaha, Nebraska,six grandchildren Katie, Abby and Rachel Ringgenberg, Brianna Byrne, and Joseph and Jacqueline McWilliams.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials and contributions may be made to the Bile Duct / American Cancer Society or to Saint Cecilia Catholic Church in Ames.
