Dolores Loftus, 78, of Winterset, Iowa died Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Winterset Care Center North.

A private graveside will be held in the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family and online condolences maybe be left at ochiltree.com.

Dolores Jane DuPuy, daughter of Albert and Jane (Terry) DuPuy, was born April 26, 1936 in Casey, Iowa. Delores was united in marriage to Billy Gene Long, Sr. in 1955 and to this union her four children were born. Later she married James Loftus and he preceded her in death.
Dolores worked at Firestone retiring after 25 years and later worked as a house keeper at the Winterset Care Center North.

She is survived by her children, Lynnette Anderson of Tillar, AR, Billy Gene Long, Jr. of Essex, Randy Long of Winterset, Devin (Jill) Long of Evans, GA; eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Gary (Marilyn) DuPuy of DoSoto, Rick (Sandy) DuPuy of Waukee, Ron DuPuy of Creston, Vicki (Richard) Laneson of Des Moines, several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; and three sisters, Donna Long, Carol Thronburg and Norma Porter.
