Hugh Paul Egy, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Egy, was born on December 22nd, 1896, at Winterset, and departed this life, May 19th, 1927, at the age of 30 years, 4 months and 26 days. All his life was spent in and around Winterset. On December 1st, 1926, he was united in marriage to Catherine Wray.

His long illness was spent very patiently and cheerfully, being bedfast since January 20th. In the winter of 1923 he gave his heart to Jesus.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife and Helen, father, mother, four sisters, five brothers, and other relatives.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church Friday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. D. J. Shenton. Internment was in the Rock City cemetery.
