KATHRYN LANGE, Windsor Heights

Kathryn Elaine Lange, 91, passed away on February 28, 2015 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brooks Funeral Care Chapel, 7975 University Blvd. in Clive. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Cumming, Iowa.

Kathryn was the loving wife of Drexel D. Lange, whom she met following WWII, while he was attending Drake University. They were married and, following graduation, continued to spend the rest of their years in West Des Moines.

Kathryn was proud of her sons and their accomplishments. In retirement, she and Drexel enjoyed spending summers at a family lakeside cabin in northern Minnesota

Kathryn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Drexel D. Lange (deceased in 2000); and two sisters, Margret Clark, of Urbandale, and Mary Eggleston, of Des Moines.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. Brian D. Lange and wife, Marilyn, of Knoxville, and Gregory Lange, of West Des Moines; two grandsons, Denny L. Lange, of Bellingham, WA, and M. Maxwell Lange, of Detroit, MI; as well as her sister, Betty Reimann, of Urbandale; and niece, Sue Klaas and husband, Leo, of Melborne.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
