Helen Duff, age 86, died December 30, 2014 at the Perry Lutheran Home. She was born near Orient, Iowa on January 17, 1928 to Oscar and Ruth (Reha) Sheehan.
She graduated from Stuart High School in 1945 and married Leslie (Jack) Duff on March 8, 1947. Jack and Helen farmed in the Winterset and Earlham areas before owning and operating Duff Insurance in Winterset until their retirement.
She leaves a lifetime of memories to daughters Kathleen (Don) Wade of Woodward and Nancy (Tom) Gardiner of Perry, 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a brother Joe Sheehan of Des Moines.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack in 1998 and sister Lillian Karabatsolis.
Funeral services will be held at the Perry United Methodist Church on Saturday, January 3 at 10:30am. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be at 2:00pm at the Winterset Cemetery following a luncheon at the church.
