Mrs. Hannah Wagner passed away this (Friday) morning at ten-thirty at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leroy Lyman near Jamaica, where she has been for some time. Her daughter Emma was also with her when death brought an end to many months of failing health. The body will not be brought here for burial, but will be taken to the last resting place of Mr. Wagner in Kansas. The obituary will be given next week.

Hannah Houseworth was born in Pennsylvania, April 17, 1856, and passed away at 10:30, Friday morning, October 9, 1925, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leroy Lyman, of Jamaica, Iowa, at the age of 69 years, 5 months, 23 days.

She was united in marriage to Louis Wagner, November 2, 1876. The husband and father preceded her Oct. 19, 1907. To this union several children were born: Wm. J. of Corning, Iowa; Mrs. Anna Turner of Larned, Kansas; Emma L. of Earlham, Iowa; Mrs. Ida Lyman of Jamaica, Iowa; Mrs. Minnie Pierce, of Tiffin, Iowa; Edward L., who passed away July 18, 1908 and Joseph H., Jan. 6, 1896.

Her early life was pent on their farm near Ogallah, Kansas. After the death of her husband, she with her children, came to make their home at Earlham, Iowa where the remaining years of her life were spent. While not being well for a number of years, she was not considered seriously ill until the Sunday preceding her death.

She was a Christian from early life, being a member of the Christian Church at Earlham.

She is survived by four daughters Anna, Emma, Ida and Minnie, and one son, William J.; six grandchildren, Joseph Turner of Ogallah, Kansas; Paul Wagner of Corning, Iowa; Merl and Dale Lyman of Jamaica, Iowa; Roy and Ruth Pierce, of Tiffin, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Gilbert of Earlham, Iowa; and Mrs. Frank Nevitt of Dexter, Iowa; and one brother, Adam Houseworth, of West Bend, Iowa, besides other relatives and friends.

Services were held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leroy Lyman, at Jamaica, Iowa Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock, conducted by her old pastor Rev. Clarence Bigelow, of Adel, Iowa. Song services were rendered by friends of her daughter including Mrs. Kathryn Kempf, Mrs. Harve Crabb, Mrs. Elmer Getshall and Gladys Ballard with Miss --- Lamp, pianist.

Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Lyman left Herndon Saturday evening, accompanying the remains of the loved mother to the old home at Ogallah, Kansas, where burial was made.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gilbert, of Earlham, Iowa, and Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Gilbert were out of town relatives attending the funeral of Mrs. Wagner on Saturday.
