ROBERT A. LOSE, Des Moines

Robert A. Lose, of Des Moines, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014. Bob was born on June 5, 1922 in Cumming, Iowa to Alice (McElwee) and Louis Lose. He was one of nine children

.Bob served his country proudly during WW II in the United States Army. He recently took part in the Honor Flight and flew to Washington D.C. to see the veteran memorial. Bob retired after many years of dedicated service in the Civil Service for the Department of the Army. He was a long time member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Bob is survived by his siblings, Katherine Johnston and Edward (Mary) Lose; sister in-law, Barbara Lose; many nieces, nephews, step-children and other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey; his parents; siblings, Bonita (Stewart) Neswold, Louis Lose, Ralph Lose, Agnes Lose, John (Joan) Lose; brother in-law, Bruce Johnston; nieces, Nancy Law and Jackie Lose and nephew, Bob Lose.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. on November 15, 2014 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 Orchard Hills Drive in Norwalk. He will be laid to rest at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Cumming, Iowa. Family will greet visitors from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street with a Prayer Service to begin at 6:30 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. John the Apostle or Christ the King Catholic Churches.
