Doris Rickets, 89, of Winterset, Iowa, died Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. Burial will be in the Barney Cemetery located in Madison County, Iowa.

Doris was born on April 16, 1925, at Barney, Iowa to James and Delia (Jeffs) Jeffs. She was married on April 2, 1945 at Lorimor, Iowa to Raymond E. Rickets. Doris had lived in the Afton and Madison County area all her life. She had been a homemaker and helped her husband with his business. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Doris is survived by her son, Mark (Linda) Rickets of Winterset; daughters, Rebecca Pugh of Winterset and Sharon (Gary) Figliolino of Monroe Township, New Jersey; grandchildren, Curtis, Silvia, Jacqueline, Deborah, Chad, and Jonathan; and great grandchildren, Tyler, Clayton, Rebekah, Matthew, Zyla, Dylan, Alyssa, and Mason.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Delia (Jeffs) Jeffs; husband, Raymond Rickets; son-in-law, Richard Pugh; brothers, Harold Jeffs, Ken Jeffs, and Alfred Jeffs; sisters, Lenora Agnes Jeffs and Gretrude Pritchard; and grandchildren, Christopher Rickets and Melissa Rickets.

Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 8 PM at McCalley-Collins Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM. Memorials may be given to her family for a future designation.
