Henderson Whited, an old resident of Willits, died suddenly at his home in that place Thursday evening last. The deceased was a native of Indiana and aged seventy-nine. He leaves a widow and several children.

Transcriber's note: "Doctor" appears to be his first name rather than a title. It was recorded as such in 3 Madison County censuses. The Whiteds lived in Madison County from at least 1849 into the 1860s when they migrated to California.
