C. W. Daniels’ father died Saturday night. He had been visiting at the Daniels home for some time. A short service was held at the home Tuesday morning and the remains were taken to Decatur City for burial.

Mr. Daniels was a veteran of the civil war and was held as prisoner in the Andersonville prison for over a year. His death was caused by dropsy.
