Harry Wray Dorrell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dorrell of Condo, South Dakota, was accidentally shot while out hunting with his brother and a neighboring boy. They were in a buggy and Wray was standing up behind the seat when the gun was accidentally discharged and the load struck him in the side and the fatal work was done. He lived 15 hours in great agony after the accident which occurred January 5th, 1908. His body was brought to Des Moines and funeral services were held at the home of his uncle, Geo. Burcombe, after which the remains was laid in the Penn Center cemetery. Wray was 13 years old and unusually bright. The parents were former residents of Madison county and have the sympathy of all who know them.
