Page 6Death of Lionel Kendig
News was received at this office Tuesday announcing the death of Lionel Vernon Kendig at St. Vincent’s Sanitarium in Sherman, Texas, of complications of heart trouble. Mr. Kendig was eighteen years of age, and spent his boyhood in Winterset. He was a bright boy and full of energy. He had been working for a railroad company and making his home at Salina, and went to the sanitarium from that place.
The interment was made in Texas, but his grandfather, A. J. Kendig, of Winterset, will later have the body brought to Winterset and interred in the cemetery here.
