July 9, 1953 - March 4, 2014

Diane Robbins, 60, of Patterson died Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her home.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset, where family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

There will be no service and burial will take place at a later date in the North McDonald Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to Diane’s family.

Cheryl Diane Robbins was born in Winterset, Iowa on July 9, 1953, the daughter of Charles and Shirley (Hendricks) Hulbert. On May 25, 1972 she was united in marriage to John Robbins at the Methodist Church in Winterset. He preceded her in death in 2007.

Diane was a homemaker most of her life and for a time was a CNA Restorative Aid. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Winterset. She loved horses and was a member of the Winterset Saddle Club. She was also a member of the Winterset Square Dance Club. Diane also enjoyed crafts, especially crocheting. She enjoyed time camping and fishing and would also find much fun in playing jokes on people. She greatly enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Shirley Hulbert of Des Moines; two daughters, Jamie (David) Thomas of Missouri and Christy Robbins (fiancé, Mike Smith) of Winterset; a brother, David Hulbert of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Johnathan Robbins, Tyler Robbins, Holden Thomas, and Robbie Robbins.

She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, John; and a grandson, Dakota Thomas.
