Mrs. Chas. Frost died Tuesday evening at six o’clock as the result of a strangulated hernia of the lower intestine. The trouble first manifested itself Sunday and progressed with characteristic velocity until the violence of the symptoms showed an operation to be imperative. Dr. Holloway was therefore summoned from Des Moines Monday evening and he and Dr. Irvin performed this very difficult operation at once. Conditions were found to be far advanced and almost hopeless and the patient passed away without rallying.

A short funeral service was conducted by Rev. Mills at the home today (Thursday) after which the remains were taken to Stuart for burial.

The sympathy and condolence of the community go out to the bereaved husband suddenly bereft of his dear wife and the little boy, who will henceforth be without a mother’s care.
