T. T. Allspaugh was stricken with a hemorrhage of the brain last Saturday evening and died Sunday morning at seven o’clock. He had not been feeling very well for the past week but was able to do his work up to the time he was stricken down. Medical aid was called at once but nothing could be done to save his life and he passed away as above stated without regaining consciousness.

Deceased had been a resident of this community six years and was a good citizen, quiet and unobtrusive.

The funeral services were held Tuesday morning at ten o’clock at his late home, conducted by the pastor of the M.E. church, and his remains were laid at rest in the Earlham cemetery.

T. T. Allspaugh was born in Findlay, Ohio, May 7, 1845, and departed this life Dec. 2, 1906.

In 1855 he came with his father to Newton, Iowa, where he lived until about 1901, when he came to Earlham. He united with the Congregational church when a boy in which he remained until the U.B. erected a church in his neighborhood when he united with it, and became the first Sunday school superintendent of that organization in that locality, which office he held for about 21 years.

In September, 1890, he was united in marriage to Miss Sara Meservy. To this union six children were born, two of whom preceded their father to the home above.
