Kenneth Clyde, the son of Henry R. and Lillian Spencer, was born in Madison county, Feb. 13, 1902, and passed away at his home, the place of his birth, June 4, 1922, aged 20 years, 3 months and 21 days. He leaves to mourn his death his mother, one sister, Bessie, of Booneville; and three brothers: Ira of Cumming, Ralph of Booneville and Donald of Des Moines, besides the immediate family a great number of relatives and a host of friends. His father and baby sister preceded him in death. The father died May 10 and Marjorie on May 24, 1904.
Funeral services were held at the home where a large number of friends and neighbors gathered to express their sympathy. The music was rendered by the choir of Booneville. The sermon was given by Rev. Hollingshead of Van Meter. Text: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hill, from whence cometh my help.”—Psalms 121:1.
