Mortuary

Betty Jean Chase was born June 7, 1920 and died May 4, 1922, being 1 year, 10 months and 27 days old at the time of her going.

On July 3, 1920 she was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Walter Chase of Winterset, who tenderly and lovingly cared for her to the hour of her departure. She was always in poor health, but was very patient through her suffering. She took sick last Sunday, but was not serious until Wednesday.
She leaves to treasure highly in memory all who came to know her and her beautiful disposition.

Funeral services were conducted at the grave in the Winterset cemetery by the Rev. F. B. Chancellor, pastor of the Church of Christ.

Mr. and Mrs. John Armstrong and Mrs. Paul Armstrong attended the funeral of the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Chase, in Winterset, Friday. The former are uncle and aunt of the later.

The little one, not yet two years old, died quite suddenly of diphtheria. Our sympathy goes out to the bereaved parents, this being their only child. A short service was held at the cemetery in Winterset.
