TERRY ALLEN, St. Charles, Iowa

Terry Allen, 55, of St. Charles died Monday, September 9, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 13, 2013 at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset with burial to follow in the Union Chapel Cemetery in South Township, Madison County.

A visitation will be held 1 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 12, with family present 5 to 8 p.m., at Ochiltree’s.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Terry Gene Allen was born in Iowa City, Iowa on June 4, 1958, the son of Mike and Rosemary (Henson) Allen. He graduated from Winterset High School in 1978. He was united in marriage to Julie Maxwell on November 4, 1983 at the Patterson United Methodist Church.

Terry farmed all of his life alongside his friend, Jim Tracy and was also a truck driver for the Madison County Secondary Roads Department. He was a member of the Madison County Pork Producers and the AFCSME Union. He was also a member of the Patterson United Methodist Church. Terry liked bowling and especially enjoyed working at the fair, cooking for the Pork Producers but above all else he loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Julie Allen; his three children, Joey Allen (Samantha Morris); Jessica Allen (Nathan Heath); Emily Allen (James Moss) and a grandson, Owen Gene Allen all of St. Charles. He is also survived by his siblings, Bob Walker of Des Moines; John Walker of Tucson, AZ; Jean Pearson (David) of Perry; Betty McVay Roberts (Larry) of St. Charles; Becky Dillinger of Seattle, WA; Billy Allen of Council Bluffs; Opal Summers of Richmond, IN; Jerry Allen (Debbie) of Evansville, IN; and Larry Allen of Winterset; many nieces and nephews and host of friends.
