Across the Line

After a long and painful illness resulting from stomach cancer, Mrs. Ellen Slayden passed away Wednesday, July 27, at her home two miles south of Bevington. The funeral services were conducted at Blair Chapel Friday and the body interred in the Chapel cemetery. Mrs. Slayden had lived to a ripe old age and has reared a large family of daughters, all of whom are married and in homes of their own, except one son Dick, with whom she has lived since her husband’s death some years ago.
