Page 1Death of Dorothy Hamilton
Dorothy Mae, two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hamilton of Des Moines, died at the Congregational hospital on July 27. She had a severe attack of measles in April, from which she never fully recovered, and was not strong enough to withstand an attack of bronchial pneumonia, which developed suddenly on Tuesday of last week. She was visiting here at the home of her grandfather in care of Miss Grace Scott when she became suddenly ill and was rushed to the hospital, and all that medical skill and loving hearts could do, was done, but to no avail. Her parents and a baby brother, Harry, mourn her, as do many relatives and friends.
Rev. S. J. Malone of the United Presbyterian church, conducted funeral services on Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Hamilton’s father, W. R. Scott and the little one was laid to rest in Winterset cemetery.

Dorothy Mae, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hamilton, of 1029 22nd St., Des Moines was born at Winterset, Iowa, May 29 1919, and died at the Congregational hospital in Des Moines July 27, 1921, age 2 years, 1 month and 29 days.
She had a severe attack of measles in April from which she never fully recovered and was not strong enough to withstand an attack of pneumonia which developed Tuesday of this week. She was taken to the hospital and all that medical skill and loving hearts could do was done but God in his wisdom saw best to take her and we dare not question why.
She leaves to mourn her loss her parents and baby brother, harry, besides many relatives and friends.
Funeral was held at the residence of Mrs. Hamilton’s father, Mrs. Scott Friday 2:30 p. m. Sermon by Rev. Malone, of the United Presbyterian church. Burial in the Winterset cemetery.
