Years of AgeFrank J. Clark, member of a pioneer Madison county family, died at Memorial hospital in Winterset last Friday, July 30, at the age of 82 years.
Mr. Clark was a son of Rufus and Susan Clark. His father was one of the Clanton-Clark party of pioneers which was first to settle permanently in Madison County.
He was born June 2, 1872, in Jewell county, Kansas, but the family returned to Madison county when he was a small boy, and he spent the remainder of his life here.
He was married Feb. 22, 1899, to Clara Cummins. They were parents of four children, two of whom died in infancy. Mrs. Clark died in 1932.
He is survived by a son, Otis Clark, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Eva Stevenson of Des Moines; and a sister, Mrs. Tom McCauley of Prole.
Funeral Services were held Sunday from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Warren Hile, pastor of the Winterset Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
