Hiram Johnson died at his home in St. Charles, Saturday night, March 19, of pneumonia and heart trouble. He was 69 years old. He was a member of the M.E. church.
He is survived by his wife, four sons and one daughter.
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the M.E. church and interment was made in the St. Charles cemetery.

Hiram Johnson, whom we mentioned last week as being critically ill, passed away at his home in St. Charles Saturday evening about 9 o’clock. His death was caused by pneumonia and heart trouble.
The funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 p. m. at the M. E. church with sermon by the pastor, Rev. G. T. Andrews and interment was made in the cemetery southwest of town.
In the death of Mr. Johnson the town and community loses a most excellent citizen and neighbor. He was a man who, by his upright and Christian character made many friends. The News joins with the community in extending sympathy to the bereaved relatives in their sorrow. – St. Charles News
