A number of Mound Valley neighbors and friends of Mrs. W. A. Ergenbright attended her funeral conducted by Rev. L. W. Foster, Tuesday at Cherryvale where she had made made her home for many years previously to locating here. About ten days ago she left to visit her grandson, Ernest Morgan at Denison, Texas, where she hoped her health would be benefitted, but the end came suddenly from.heart failure at six o’clock Monday morning. She has been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church for 40 years, and was also a member of the Relief Corps of Cherryvale.

Susanna Walton was born near Cincinnatti, Ohio, March 15, 1837 and when ten years of age moved with her parents to Illinois, where she married to Cyrus Bevans in 1852. She moved to Iowa with her husband in 1855 where he enlisted in the civil war. After serving a year he died at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., July 4th, 1863.

She was married to Wm. Ergenbright in March, 1866, and came with him.to Cherryvale in 1883 where she made her home most of her time since until seven years ago when she moved to Mound Valley.

The deceased leaves two children by her first marriage; a daughter, Mrs. Belle Boling, with whom she lived at Mound Valley, and a son, C. A. Bevans who is in Alaska. To the second marriage was born one daughter, Mrs. Morgan whose home is in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Transcriber's note: First name from Civil War pension application. The deceased lived in Madison County from about 1866 until 1883.
