Emma Belle Bevans was born in Marion co., Iowa, October 21, 1856, and was 62 years, 10 months & 12 days of age at the time of her death which occured September 11, 1919. She was married on December 10, 1874 to Preston C. Boling; to this union were born two children, Walter P. and Dellia M., both deceased.

In 1897 Mrs. Boling moved to Oregon where she lived until after the death of her son in 1904. She moved to her farm east of town in the spring of 1905 and since has made this her home.

Her only living relatives are one brother in Alaska and a half sister, Mrs. Jennie Morgan of St. Louis and some nieces and nephews.

Transcriber's note: The deceased was married in Madison County, Iowa in 1874 and lived there for over 20 years.
