DARRELL EIVINS, Lorimor

Darrell died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Winterset Care Center South. He was 81. 

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 18, at the Macksburg United Methodist Church, with burial in the Moon Cemetery, near Macksburg. A visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 17, at Ochiltree Funeral Service; where family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the family. Darrell Dean Eivins was born July 16, 1931; the second son of Orlie and Zelma (Steele) Eivins. In 1955, he married Ida Rachael Guessford.

Darrell is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ida of Lorimor; a son, Alan Eivins of Lorimor; three daughters, Garnet Johnson of Windsor Heights; Karen Kalasinsky (Tom) of Winterset; Nona Eivins (Michael Pohle) of West Des Moines; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Eivins of Macksburg; four grandchildren, Taralyn Johnson (Noah Iseton), Trevor Johnson, Michelle West (Travis), and Michael Eivins; two great-grandchildren, Sid and Suri Johnson; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Marlin Eivins; and a brother Edwin Eivins.
