Services for John David McKenzie, 12, son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. McKenzie, of 800 Maury St., will be at noon Saturday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Montpelier Cemetery in Patterson.

The youth died Wednesday at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital after a two-year illness.

He was a lifelong resident of Des Moines and was a member of Southeast Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his parents; three sisters, Mrs. Barbara Howell of Cummings, and Mrs. Marilyn Poore and Janet McKenzie, both of Des Moines, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Boozell of Des Moines.
