Services for Mrs. Opal N. Cummins, 71, of 413 ½ Euclid Ave., who died Thursday at Northwest Hospital after a long illness, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home with burial in East Peru, Ia.

Mrs. Cummins, born in Madison County, lived in Des Moines 28 years. She was a cook at Drake University before her retirement in 1954.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Doris Jackson of Tingley, Mrs. Phyllis Daub of Nevada and Mrs. Shirley Konchalski of Des Moines; two sons, Richard and Kenneth, both of Des Moines; two sisters, Mrs. Velma Herren of Maxburg and Mrs. Charlotte Smith of Des Moines; 24 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
