July 8, 1982 pg 24Services for Kenneth M. Cockayne, 80 of Sapulpa, Okla., and formerly of Des Moines will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Southtown Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.
Mr. Cockayne died of emphysema Monday at home.
Born in Winfield, he lived in Des Moines 60 years. He was a retired butcher for Iowa Packing Co. and was a U.S. Army veteran of World Wars I and II.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Roberts of Des Moines; two sons, Robert of Fremont, Calif., and Jerry of Sapulpa; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home.
