Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church for Louis J. Lose, 88, of 200 E. Army Post Road, who died Wednesday of a heart attack at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital.

Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Cemetery at the Irish Settlement in Warren [Madison] County.

Born in Deshler, Ohio, Mr. Lose lived in the Des Moines area for 65 years. He was a retired employee of Polk County.

Survivors include his wife, Alice; two daughters, Mrs. Bonita Neswold and Ann Quinn, both of Des Moines; four sons, Robert of Cumming, and Louis, Edward and John, all of Des Moines; two brothers, Webb and Robert, both of Medina, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Adah Banman of Toledo, Ohio; 31 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the Caldwell-Brien-Robbins Funeral Home.
