RONALD E. “GENE” LEGGETT, Texas
April 1, 1932 – Feb. 21, 2013Ronald was the son of the late Orval W. and Pearl Leggett. He was 80 years old when he passed away on Feb 21, 2013, a resident of Schertz, Tx. Survived by his wife, Ruth Leggett and daughter, Peggy Leggett; brothers, Dale, Doyle and Billy Leggett; stepmother, Donola Leggett, his grandchildren and many friends.
He graduated from Truro Hgh School in 1951. He joined the Navy a few months after graduation and served on the cruiser USS Bremerton in the waters off Korea during the Korean conflict. Shortly after 5 1/2 years in the Navy, Ronald joined the Air Force and retired in 1977 with the rank of Master Sergeant.
Internment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on March 1, 2013 at 10:00 am in Texas.

Gene is survived by wife, Ruth Elaine Leggett; daughters, Phyllis Beyer and husband, Charles, and Peggy Leggett; brothers, Dale, Doyle and Billy Leggett; stepmother, Donala Leggett; grandchildren, Jennifer Preiss and husband, Craig, Caitlin and Cassie Leggett; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Jacob and Meghan.
Gene was a Navy and Air Force veteran.
Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on March 1, 2013 at 10:00AM
