Marjorie M. Macdonald, 81, died Thursday, March 3, 2005 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5 at Dunn’s Funeral Home, with burial at the Winterset Cemetery.

Marjorie was born in Winterset and had lived in the Des Moines area since 1945. She was a volunteer at Blank Children’s Hospital, a chairperson for the Shrine Children’s Hospital and a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, Daughters of the Nile, Za Ga Zig Shrine Women’s Auxiliary, TTT sorority and Eastern Star.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Dennis and his wife Judith Macdonald of Arlington, VA; brother, Gerald D. Cameron of Fargo, ND; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Laird Macdonald and son, Larry Macdonald.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Dunn’s Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital or American Cancer Society.
