David Wagley, 43, of Newton died of a heart attack Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.

Mr. Wagley was born in Iowa City and had lived in Madison County before moving to Newton five years ago. He was a food production manager with Perkins Restaurants in Des Moines and a member of Imperial Court of Iowa in Des Moines.

He is survived by his parents, Floyd and Ruth of Winterset; and a sister, Leah Cellan of Huxley.

His companion was Steve Gamble of Newton.
