Jefferson Township Resident Dies at Hospital in Winterset
Mrs. Emma Lienemann, a long-time resident of the DeSoto community, died Friday, Feb. 11, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 92 years of age.
Mrs. Lienemann was the former Emma Augusta Kading, daughter of Ferdinand and Henrietta Kading, born in Jefferson, Wisc., on June 10, 1873. She was married to B. B. Lienemann March 7, 1894. His death occurred in 1932. Their married life was spent on a farm south of DeSoto.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, of Van Meter, in which she was a charter member of the Ladies’ Aid.
Surviving are three children, Clarence Lienemann of Adel, Mrs. Nora Koch of Van Meter, and Mrs. Fernanda Martens of DeSoto; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral and burial services were held Monday at Trinity Lutheran church.
