Stroke Takes Andrew Welsh

Andrew Welsh, 81, of 4115 S. Union St., died of a stroke Saturday at Mercy Hospital after a one-day illness.

Mr. Welsh was born at Massena and lived here 10 years. He farmed around Winterset and Lorimor. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial at Winterset.

He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Velma Isenhaur of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Norine Howes of Stockton, Calif., Mrs. Mary Owens of Cresco, Mrs. Betty Galloway of Iowa Parks, Tex.; Mrs. Helen Swanson of Madrid and Mrs. Gladys Robbins of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren an 8 great-grandchildren.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the Tonini Funeral Home.
