Charles Dorrell Service Monday

Services for Charles L. Dorrell, 80, of 4225 N.W. Eleventh St., will be at noon Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home.

He was dead on arrival Friday at Broadlawns Polk County Hospital after suffering a heart attack on a bus in downtown Des Moines.

Burial will be at the Baptist Cemetery at Winterset.

Mr. Dorrell was born in Madison County and lived 43 years in Des Moines. He previously lived in Boone.

He was a barber before retiring in May 1953, and was a graduate of the Des Moines Barber College. He was a member of the First Church of the Open Bible.

He is survived by cousins.

Charles L. Dorrell Of Des Moines Dies

Charles L. Dorrell, a native of Madison county, died Friday, Feb. 4, in Des Moines. He was 80 years of age.

Mr. Dorrell was born here Aug. 16, 1885, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dorrell.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Hamilton Funeral home in Des Moines. Burial was made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery at Winterset.

Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Dorrell and Gold Dorrell of Winterset attended the services in Des Moines.
