Former St. Charles Resident Buried

Guy M. Armstrong, aged 72, of Des Moines, died of a heart attack at the home of his brother Ralph V. Armstrong, in Des Moines on Monday, December 27.

Mr. Armstrong was born in St. Charles, the son of Henry and Ellen Armstrong and was a resident of St. Charles until moving to Des Moines, where he had resided for the past thirty-five years. He was a telegrapher and was employed by the Burlington Railroad all his adult life.

He was a member of the St. Charles Methodist church. His parents and his wife, Maude preceded him in death. He is survived by one brother, Ralph; one sister, Mrs. Ruth M. Smith, both of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held at Dunn’s Funeral Home in Des Moines-------------- and St. Charles Methodist church on Wednesday, Dec. 29 with Rev. Leonard Root officiating. Burial was at the St. Charles cemetery.
