Funeral Services Held on Tuesday, Burial in Moon Cemetery
Coyt R. Herren, a life-time resident of the Macksburg community, died Saturday, May 8, at a Des Moines hospital. He was 78 years of age.
Mr. Herren was born in Madison county Jan. 26, 1887, a son of Fred and Alice Mack Herren. His active life was spent in farming.
He was a member of the Macksburg Methodist church.
Mr. Herren was married Feb. 23, 1910, to Estella King. She preceded him in death in 1960.
Surviving are a son, Ralph Herren of Macksburg; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Phillips of Adel, Mrs. Mildred Eyerly of Macksburg and Mrs. Eva Brady of Des Moines; 13 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; a brother, Dean Herren of Macksburg; and two sisters, Mrs. Alpha Wolfe of Winterset and Lela Wolfe of Macksburg.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Macksburg Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Donald Frank. Burial was made at Moon cemetery at Macksburg.

MACKSBURG—Coyt Herren, 78, a lifelong resident of Macksburg, died at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines Saturday, May 8. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 11, at the Methodist church in Macksburg. Burial was in the Moon cemetery.
Mr. Herren is survived by a son, Ralph of Macksburg, and three daughters, Mrs. Wilbur (Mildred) Eyerly of Macksburg, Mrs. Leslie (Lois) Phillips of Adel, and Mrs. Harold (Eva) Brady of Des Moines.
