St. Charles Resident Was 81 Years of Age at Death
Mrs. Louisa Jane Miller of St. Charles died Saturday, Oct. 30 at a Des Moines hospital, at the age of 81 years.
Mrs. Miller was a resident of Madison county since early life. She was the former Louisa Jane Shutt, daughter of Jefferson and Isabell Williamson Shutt, and was born in Kansas Oct. 10, 1884.
She was married Jan. 15, 1908 to Charles Miller, who preceded her in death. A son, Clyde, also preceded her in death.
She was a member of the St. Charles Christian church.
Surviving are two sons, Frank Miller of St. Charles and Ralph Miller of Des Moines; a daughter Mrs. Clela Siemons of Georgia; -- grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. M. Meyers of Truro.
Funeral services were on Monday from the St. Charles Christian church, conducted by the Rev. Tom Foglesong of Des Moines. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.

Funeral services were held Monday for Louisa Jane Miller at the Christian church in St. Charles with Rev. Tom Foglesong officiating. Burial was at St. Charles under the direction of Kale Funeral Home of Truro.
Mrs. Miller, who was 80 years old, died October 30 in a Des Moines Hospital. She had lived in the St. Charles vicinity most of her life. She was born in Kansas, a daughter of Jefferson and Isabelle Williamson Shutt, on October 10, 1884. Her husband was Charles Miller and they were married on January 15, 1908.
Four children were born to them, three whom survive. They are Frank Miller of St. Charles, Clela Siemons of Georgia, Ralph Miller of Des Moines. Other survivors include a sister, Mae Myers and a brother, Walter Shutt, both of Truro.
