Charles M. Miller of St. Charles died at his home there Monday, March 15, at the age of 83 years.
Mr. Miller was born at Carlisle April 20, 1881, and was a life-time resident of Iowa. His parents were Jacob and Elizabeth Smith Miller.
His active life was spent in farming. He was a member of the Christian church.
Mr. Miller was married Jan. 15, 1908 to Louisa Shutt, at St. Charles. She survives him. He also leaves two sons, Frank Miller of St. Charles and Ralph Miller of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Clela Siemons of Atlanta, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. in charge of the Rev. Tom Foglesong of Des Moines. Burial will be made in the St. Charles cemetery.
