Mrs. Daisy Downs of St. Charles Dies

Mrs. Daisy Ann Downs of St. Charles, died Monday, Jan. 4, at a nursing home there, at the age of 88 years.

Mrs. Downs was a life-long resident of the St. Charles and Truro communities. She was born at Truro Aug. 12, 1876, the daughter of Robert and Amanda Hartman Caskey.

She was married June 12, 1901 at St. Charles to Walter Downs. His death occurred in 1940.

She was a member of the Christian church and the Order of Eastern Star.

Funeral services were to be held at the St. Charles Christian church, with burial in the St. Charles Cemetery.
