Word has been received here of the death of Robert Earl Fryer, sr. of Paramount, California, former Des Moines resident. He died Friday at the Beach Community Hospital, Buena Park, Cal., after he fell from scaffolding while working as a carpenter.
Mr. Fryer was born in Pennsylvania and lived 45 years in Des Moines. He moved to California eight years ago.
He was an iron worker and truck driver for Wilbert Vault Co. in Des Moines.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home with burial at Winterset.
Mr. Fryer is survived by his wife, Inez Mae; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Welch of Peru, Ia.; a son, Robert, jr., of Artesia, Cal.; a brother, Bruce of Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Viola Graves of Holden, Mo., and Mrs. Ida Mitchell and Mrs. Etta Parker, both of Des Moines; and nine grandchildren.
