Mrs. Emma Fulton of Winterset Dies

Mrs. Emma J. Fulton of Winterset died Monday, Oct. 5, at a nursing home here, at the age of 82 years.

Mrs. Fulton was a native of Adams county where she was born April 14, 1882. She was the former Emma Melton, daughter of William and Rebecca McCarty Melton. She was married at Red Oak on July 4, 1900, to Harold Fulton. She had lived here for the last 10 years.

Mrs. Fulton was a member of the First Christian church at Brooks.

Surviving are three sons, Charles W. Fulton of Fairbanks, Alaska, Robert D. Fulton of Des Moines and Lester W. Fulton of Davenport; five daughters, Mrs. Anna Worley of Oskaloosa, Mrs. Hazel Carpenter of Nampa, Ida., Mrs. Daisey Laughery of Lorimor, Mrs. Lucille Loomis of Shannon City, and Mrs. Lorraine Miller of Los Angeles; 25 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a brother, Charlie Melton of Fresno, Calif.; and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Tomlinson of Rogers, Ark.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Melvin Mattox, pastor of the Grace Baptist church. Burial will be made in the Barney cemetery.
