Phyllis J. Carter, 67, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at West View Care Center in Indianola. She was born October 27, 1945, in Winterset, Iowa to Ward and Helen Bennett.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Becki, Brian (Rhonda) and Brad (Angel); six grandchildren, Brett Alan, Kaitlyn, Allisa, Zack, Adam and Trever; siblings, Connie, Leona, Dale, Bev, Ray and Kenny. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings, Joy, Vernon, Max, Bob, Richie, and Virginia.
Memorial services will be 12 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. The family will greet friends two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be directed by the family.
