WILLIAM PIERCE, MASSACHUSETTS

William “Bill” Pierce, 92, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.

William F. Pierce was born Oct. 18, 1920, in North Attlebough, Mass., to Carrie and Earnest L. Pierce. He was a master welder retired from the Portsmouth, NH, after 22 years of service. He was a WWII US Army veteran serving in Italy and the Philippines. Bill enjoyed 68 years of marriage to his wife Muriel. Through his retirement he could be found helping friends and or relatives with many building projects.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Muriel; his parents; four siblings; a grandson and a great-grandson.

He is survived by Sara and James O’Leary of Gilford, NH; Edward and Sherrie Pierce of Franklin, NH; Richard and Mary of Eden Prairie, Minn.; Alfred and Janet Pierce of Boyd, Minn.; Kathlyn and Roger Tippets of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Tim and Jeanne Pierce of Winterset; a brother, Joseph and Thelma Pierce of Hampton, NH; brother-in-law Norman and Patsy Davis of Paris, Texas; sisters-in-law Winona and Dennis Peterman of Mocksville, NC, Ester Davis of Edneyville, NC,and Gwen and Ronald Noel of Culver, Ind.; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Viewing and grave side service will be on the February 2013 in North Attleboro, MA Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home tel: 508/695-5651.

A memorial service is planned at the family reunion at Pammel Park, Winterset, Iowa. Memorials can be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
